STEAMd Inc., offers a 10-week program for girl’s grades 3 -12. The program offers 3 different curriculums designed to in accordance with age and grade level. Each of the three curriculums of our signature 10-week course focuses on developing the whole girl using her heart, mind and passion. Our style of instruction encourages students to design, tinker and learn and apply engineering and design methods as well as being introduced to the principles of project management. Tinkering, robotics, writing code are among the highlights of this course as well as networking, research techniques, and how to have an enhanced digital footprint for their future. There are 3 levels of the program; elementary, middle and high School. The STEAMd summer camp and weekend programs for each level is currently being development.

STEAMd Elementary “Lighting the Pot”
The elementary school program for grades 3 – 5 begins with a STEAMd aptitude assessment to gauge STEAM interest and understanding. During the 10-week the girls tinker using hands-on activities to introduce the to all areas of STEAM which including, building engineering models, coding, robotics, graphical and language arts. These activities help to develop critical thinking, while working in a collaborative environment. An additional focus is aimed to build confidence, leadership, networking and learning to understand how their unique personality and skill sets correlate STEAM roles.

STEAMd Middle School “Steaming”
The STEAMd middle school 10-week program encourages increased discovery of STEAM skills and careers. The program focus is to develop the whole girl using her heart, mind and passion. The style of instruction encourages students to design, tinker and learn and apply engineering and design methods as well as developing project management. Tinkering, robotics, cyber security, writing code are among the highlights of this course as well as networking, branding, entrepreneurship, research techniques, and how to have an enhanced digital footprint for their future.

STEAMd High School “Full STEAM Ahead”
STEAM jobs offer women the opportunity to be financially independent. STEM jobs continue to go unfilled and the need continues growing every year. The High School 10-week program focuses on how to prepare and be ready post high school. Ready might be college, professional certifications, internships, entering into directly into workforce post high school or any combination of these scenarios. During the 10-week the girls engage in activities, such as coding, engineering, project management and collaboration. A good deal of time and attention is dedicated to building their networking proficiency and digital portfolio as well as making them aware of vast array of options to consider. In STEAM fields.

STEAMd Elementary School Programs are designed to engage, fascinate, educate, and inspire girls to pursue greater involvement in learning STEAM topics.

While the future clearly belongs to those who have mastered STEAM subjects, statistics indicate that today’s students rarely have any exposure to the work done by those who pursue STEAM careers.
